Sierra Woods Farm is proudly home to the Zionsville Equestrian Team. Here are some “Fast Facts” to give you some general information about the team.

- ZEQT has a Middle School (4-8) and a High School Team (9-12).
- New & current team riders must be taking weekly lessons at Sierra Woods Farm. If they decide to leave Sierra Woods farm and go to another barn they can no longer be on the team.
- Riders do NOT need to own their own horse to ride on the team.
- Each rider may attend a total of 5 regular season shows. (September-January)
- When attending a regular season show you are expected to stay for the entire time to support teammates and help with horses. That is a total of 5 days in the course of a season.
- Parents are also expected to volunteer throughout the season. If unable to volunteer, there will be fee due at the end of the season. ($100)
- Team will try to attend 8-10 shows to allow for flexibility in schedules.
- Two shows run in one weekend
- Travel- 3-5 hours (IN, MI, OH)

COST
- REGULAR Season: Yearly fee is $1,200 for REGULAR season. This includes IEA joining fees for the teams, all show and coaching fees for the 5 regular season shows, team t- shirt, care of lesson horses, shipping of horses to shows, and miscellaneous team costs.
- POST Season: If a rider qualifies for the post season, they will be responsible for entry fees ($60+ per class) & coaching fees ($60). They will also split my expenses (hotel, mileage, flight, meals).
- Team Practices will be held at Sierra Woods Farm ($55/hour group paid to SWF) High School practices on the 1st Friday of every month and Middle School practices on the 3rd Friday of every month. These are optional but highly encouraged.

- Tall black boots or paddock boots and jodhpur’s for middle school, riding gloves, tan breeches, light colored show shirt, dark well-fitting jacket, belt, and certified helmet. (discounts for ZEQT available at local tack stores)
